Title: Business Process Optimization Lead

Position Summary:
Major Duties and Responsibilities (including supervising others):
The Business Process Optimization Lead will lead strategic cross-functional teams that implement process, system, and organization improvements across MedImmune. The candidate will require little supervision to drive projects to successful completion. The candidate will also support the development and communication of strategic initiative roadmaps. The candidate will provide the necessary training, coaching, and oversight to successfully deliver the business value committed on the roadmaps at both the executive and team level. The candidate will work closely with senior management to maintain strategic alignment of objectives, resolve significant issues hindering initiative success, and share best practices across the company.

The candidate will have demonstrated the ability to implement change at all levels of an organization. The candidate will also have a demonstrated ability to drive projects and requests to completion through other people without having direct supervisory responsibility. Proven problem-solving and negotiation capabilities along with a process-focused perspective is essential.
Job Complexity: The candidate will work with a broad range of management levels ranging from individual contributors to Executive management. The candidate will lead and navigate complex projects through to completion while managing multiple stakeholders. The position will require significant influence skills to drive progress beyond his or her departmental authority.
Supervision: Minimal supervision required.

Requirements/Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors degree required in a scientific field preferred. Project management certifications or similar credentialing (e.g., PMI, PDMA, APICS) preferred. Six Sigma or Lean Six Sigma certifications a plus.
Experience: 10 - 15 years experience preferably in the Biotech / Pharmaceutical industry. Management consulting experience a plus. At least 6 years industry experience as a team leader and/or project manager leading projects or 4 years experience in a management consulting environment.
